We are so excited to see you at our LAS Wolf Yoga Class of the year on October 18th! If you haven’t been to one of our yoga classes yet, they are so much fun and we thought we’d take a moment to share with you some of the poses that the Wolves at Oatland Island Wildlife Center Love the Most!
Downward Dog: This one is a given! When dogs stretch downwards, they look very similar to this pose, which is how it got its name! Wolves may stretch like this after a long nap, or to signal that they are ready to play with their pack mates!

Tree Pose: while wolves can’t stand tall on one leg, they often live in areas where trees provide excellent cover as they hunt and live with their pack. Standing tall and still is something that wolves do very well, so keep your eyes on our wolves for good balance and posing skills!

Savasana: Probably a wolf’s favorite pose, savasana a resting position in yoga that promotes relaxation and rejuvenation. While you lie relaxing, listening to the voice of our wonderful yoga instructor, most likely, the wolves will be doing the same!

Whatever poses you like, sign up today and come see our wolves! Enjoy a one-hour gentle yoga class led by certified yoga instructor, Sue Finkle. Move slowly between poses to strengthen and stretch muscles. During the last 15 minutes of class enjoy White Lights (deep relaxation). This hour-long experience helps to leave you feeling refreshed, reconnected, and relaxed. Prior experience IS NOT necessary and one need not be flexible to take this class.
Please feel free to bring your own yoga mats from home, but we will have mats on hand for you to borrow if you'd like. All mats are sanitized after each class. Any additional yoga equipment (blocks, bands, towels, blankets, etc.) must be brought from home.
