Support Our Mission
Friends of Oatland Island, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization which depends on donations to continue providing nature education and conservation programs in a natural setting, for Savannahians of all ages, and serving as a peaceful escape. You can show your support in a variety of ways, all of which ultimately improve the lives of so many in our community.
We invite you to join the Friends of Oatland Island as a Corporate Sponsor! With your help we can continue to delight the community and enhance the experiences of Savannah visitors by growing our programs and exhibits. Together, we can help children and adults make stronger connections to the natural world.

Adopt A Wild Friend
Individuals, companies, school classes, and organizations can choose one of our animals to "adopt" for a fee of $35 per animal.
This donation helps pay for food, habitat maintenance and veterinary care for our animals.
You will receive a certificate with the animals picture, a Fact Sheet about your animal and Oatland's quarterly email newsletter. To Adopt a Wild Friend, simply complete the Adopt a Wild Friend form and bring in or mail your payment.
Volunteer at Oatland
Oatland Island Wildlife Center has a variety of opportunities for adults over the age of 18. A few of the volunteer opportunities require a weekly/bi-weekly time commitment; whereas other opportunities can be done in a day!
All adult volunteers may be subject to a background check depending on the position. Please understand that due to the nature of our facility, there is very limited opportunity to handle and work directly with the animals in our collection. However, we do offer internship opportunities in our animal care department.
