Your Support Makes A Statement

Support Friends of Oatland and make a statement along the walkways of Oatland Island! 

Buy a Board engraved with your custom message to wish someone a Happy Birthday, celebrate a special occasion, honor a loved one, commemorate an anniversary date, or advertise your business -- the possibilities are endless!

 

Commemorative boards will be installed at the new Bobcat Overlook.
 

CHARACTERS & SYMBOLS

Only 25 characters [Letters, Numbers, a Heart, or a Paw Print (2 Symbols Max.)] can be fit on boards at this time.  Punctuation and blank spaces are counted as characters. If you would like a Heart or a Paw Print, please place an asterisk (*) where you would like it placed on the board and specify in the notes section which symbol you would like.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Please allow 4-6 weeks for your boards to be made and placed on the grounds of Oatland Island Wildlife Center. 

  • Friends of Oatland Island is not able to accommodate Buy a Board requests with religious, political, or profane messages.

  • There are no Returns or Refunds on Specialized Boards once the order has been processed.

  • If you have a lot to say and it will be more than the 25 characters allowed on one board, feel free to buy as many as you want and we will place them right after one another.

  • Friends of Oatland Island and Oatland Island Wildlife Center reserve the right to relocate any engraved board to an adjacent area, if either entity determines such relocation is required.

PROOF REQUIRED

A virtual proof will be provided via email within 3 business days of purchase.  Your board will not be fabricated or installed without approval.

FIVE YEAR WARRANTY

Every Buy-A-Board purchased after May 1, 2021 is backed by a 5 Year Warranty, from original date of install.

 

What is covered?

  • Degradation of the engraving such that the message can no longer be read.

  • Lost or removed boards, even in the case of a natural disaster.

 

What we will do:

  • Engrave and install a replacement board at no charge

  • If the Buy-A-Board program has been discontinued, a similar item or item of equal value may be substituted.

 

Information Required:

  • A copy of your dated proof of purchase may be required prior to any claims under our warranty.

  • A picture showing the issue(s).
