Enrichment looks different for different animals and for different birds. Vultures are highly intelligent and the Animal Care staff has to think outside the box to come up with new things for them to shred, manipulate, pick up, and tug on.

About the Event
This event allows the public to see some of the special work that often goes on behind-the-scenes at Oatland. This is an opportunity to witness how the Animal Care Staff provides special treats and activities to help hone the animals’ natural behaviors. Adults and children will participate in creating enrichment material for our resident black vultures and will watch the vultures experience their special creations.
