Enrichment Saturday - Ossabaw Pig
Pigs love to dig and wallow in the mud! They'll be stimulated by different piles of substrate like fresh dirt, piles of leaves, or pig-safe mulch. Pigs also love digging for hidden food, playing with treat-dispensing enrichment (like your dog's Kong toy!) and even bobbing for apples!

About the Event
This event allows the public to see some of the special work that often goes on behind-the-scenes at Oatland. This is an opportunity to witness how the Animal Care Staff provides special treats and activities to help hone the animals’ natural behaviors. Adults and children will participate in creating enrichment material for our resident Ossabaw pigs and will watch the pigs experience their special creations.
