Enrichment Saturday - Barnyard
Did You Know -- Cows have been shown to prefer smells like lavender, and while they prefer self grooming brushes over a simply putting lavender on a fence post, they do show interest in that scent and this can be used to encourage the use of brushes.

About the Event
This event allows the public to see some of the special work that often goes on behind-the-scenes at Oatland. This is an opportunity to witness how the Animal Care Staff provides special treats and activities to help hone the animals’ natural behaviors. Adults and children will participate in creating enrichment material for our barnyard residents and will watch the cow, donkey, and pig experience their special creations.
