Welcome to Friends of Oatland Island
Friends of Oatland Island, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, was established to support Oatland Island Wildlife Center's staff and animal residents. Board members are volunteers, working to supplement financial and professional support of the Wildlife Center and inspire stewardship of the natural environment.
Open 361 days a year, Oatland Island Wildlife Center is operated by the Savannah Chatham County Public School System. Founded in 1974, Oatland sits on 100 acres and is home to 150 animals representing more than 40 species.
