At the Oatland Island Wildlife Center
June 1st - July 17th 2020
Mondays - Fridays
It's not even technically Spring, but our minds are already looking forward to the warmth of Summer. It's the time of year both my daughters look forward to the absolute most and that's because they get to go to Summer Camp. Their outright Favorite has always been Oatland Island's Summer Camp.
With the wide variety of their weeklong day camps for upcoming Kindergarteners to upcoming 8th graders, there is something for every kid. This mom loves it because it is an almost full day of activities and my daughters climbs back into the car exhausted, but bursting with energy to tell me every single detail of their days.
Campers will discover the fascinating world of science through hands-on activities, creative crafts and wildlife investigations.
Wolves, eagles and cougars are just a few of the native wildlife species on exhibit along the 2 mile long nature trail. Living in their natural habitat, our animals provide up close and safe observation for field studies and creative inspiration.
Enthusiastic adult instructors, most of whom are certified teachers, bring a wide range of experience and talent to enhance these camp adventures. All of the instructors bring such delight and zeal for their individual programs that truly make this an Amazing Summer Camp experience.
There is also an awesome opportunity for Teens looking to log in some community credit hours too! Teens 14 years of age and older are needed as Junior Camp Counselors to help make the Summer Camp run smoothly. Your teen can volunteer for one week or for the whole session, depending on availability.
